As authorities continue to search for answers in the death of 21-year-old Michaela MacVilla, the community is doing what it can to help her family.

Friends and family supported her family on Monday night for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. All proceeds are going to help MacVilla's family.

MacVilla was last seen leaving work on September 25. Her body was found on October 2.

"Not knowing what happened and who's responsible, that has been extremely difficult," said Cora Murray, MacVilla's aunt. "We have hope that they will find the responsible party or parties, and we'll get to that point eventually."

A bake sale and a raffle also helped raised money. Organizers of Monday's dinner expected to serve up to 800 meals.
