A Porter Corners man is citing good ol' luck after cashing big on a scratch-off ticket.

Byran MacPherson, 53, is the 100th New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling a million or more this year. MacPherson hit the $1 million jackpot on a $5 Jumbo Bucks scratch-off ticket.

He usually picks up his tickets at his local Stewart's Shop, but decided to play at the store on Broadway in Saratoga.

"It was definitely chance for sure because I'm working up the road otherwise I would have never have been here. You know and I would never have bought the tickets," said MacPherson.

MacPherson will receive $537,440 in total and plans to take a nice vacation to St. Johns.
