The deadly limo crash in Schoharie left the community in shock and in loss.

On Sunday, a benefit concert was all about healing after this tragedy.

It’s all part of an effort to help families and first responders connected to the crash that claimed the lives of 20 people.

Several local businesses stepped up for the event: the Mohawk Harbor donated the space for fundraiser, and Druther’s Brewing Company was on tap — donating their proceeds from food and beer.

The organizer said he’s just happy to see support for those affected by the crash continue.

“When a tragedy strikes, a community pulls itself together and that’s what we tried to do today, is pull everyone together,” said benefit organizer Phil Wajda.

“People handing out $10 and $20 and I think that’s most important because we’re here to support the families that’s lost their loved ones and what’s better than good music?” said Elaine Williams.

All proceeds from ticket sales and the raffle will go to families of the victims and first responders.
