Staff are making arrangements to temporarily relocate programs after a weekend fire at a Warren County YMCA facility.

At around 10 a.m. Sunday, a small fire broke out in the ceiling of the Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area’s youth outreach center in the town of Horicon.

A former restaurant, the center just completed its third summer of housing a popular camp for local children.

"It could have been much worse but you know we're looking at this, we're definitely more committed than we ever have been with serving this community. We’re looking at this little bump in the road and we're going to come back bigger and better than ever," said Brian Bearor, Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area CEO.

The center also houses an after-school program, fitness classes for senior citizens and classes for new mothers and their babies.

Those programs will be temporarily relocated to the Chestertown Town Hall within the next few weeks.
