ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are asking for the public's help in finding 51-year-old Dariel Young, who went missing more than two months ago.
Young as last seen by a relative in the South End of Albany walking on Second Avenue on October 25. Police say it would be out of his character not to check in with his family regularly.
"Our biggest concern right now is this is unusual behavior for him. We're concerned at the police department. The family's obviously concerned and we're asking anyone with information to give us a call," said Steve Smith, of the Albany Police Department.
Police first asked for the public's help in November, but did not get any information. Now the department is asking the public again to share anything it may know.
Young's family is also offering a $1,000 reward for details that lead to finding their loved one.
"It was shocking to hear and now know. [It’s] a big mystery, big question mark," said big brother Henry Young.
Not knowing is hard for his family, but they are holding onto hope.
"Be faithful unto death. Unless we know otherwise, we continue to be faithful that there will be a good turnout," said Henry Young.
Police also say Young has no known medical or mental disabilities.
