SELKIRK, N.Y. -- For the second time in one week, a train derails at the Selkirk Rail Yard.

The County Executive's Office says the latest derailment happened on Wednesday afternoon around 2:40 p.m. That's when two Hazmat tankers carrying petroleum gas went off the tracks.

No spills or leaks were reported, but County Executive Dan McCoy is using this latest incident to push for state and federal reforms. He's calling for stricter safety standards on rail lines and equipment, saying a serious or deadly accident could happen right along the Hudson River.

Six tanker cars derailed at the rail yard last Friday.
