SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is the oldest and largest animal protection organization in the Capital Region. Last year, the humane society found forever homes for more than 3,600 animals. But that's not all they do. The organization works with local law enforcement through the STAR program, which stands for Steps to Adoption Readiness. Nancy Haynes, director of animal behavior and enrichment at Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, and Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple join the show to talk more about the program.
