Well, there's no doubt the holidays will look a lot different this year.

But local organizers at the Capital District YMCA are taking creative measures to continue to spread holiday cheer.

They held their first frive-thru holiday party Saturday.

It's for the members of the Circle of Champs Program.

These are children who suffer from a life-threatening illness.

The YMCA helps bring joy to these children with free activities throughout the year.

Organizers say events like these have a big impact on the community.

"It's giving children and their families and opportunity to feel normal for a time. So even today is not our traditional holiday party. At its core it is still what the Y is about which is helping people," said Erin Breslin, senior director, marketing and membership at YMCA.

Kids got bags of goodies and, of course, the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
