Alexander West's appeal to have his conviction in a fatal boating crash on Lake George in July 2016 has been denied.

In an unanimous decision Thursday by the Appellate Division of the state Supreme Court, judges rejected West's arguments that he wasn't given a fair trial.

Last June, a jury found West guilty of eight of the 12 counts he faced, including manslaughter in the second degree, for his role in a Log Bay Day crash on Lake George that left 8-year-old Charlotte McCue dead. West was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison, with the sentences being served concurrently.
