A Rensselaer County man has pleaded guilty in a March crash on Interstate 90 where two state troopers were injured.

Christopher Neumann of Castleton now stands convicted of first-degree vehicular assault and and one count of driving while ability impaired.

Early on the morning of March 4, Troopers Shane Swartz and Brent Karow were helping a car that had crashed into the median near Exit 8 in North Greenbush. State police said that Neumann's vehicle first hit a state police SUV, then the two troopers and a tow truck operators.

Both troopers were hurt badly but at last check, were recovering.

Under the plea deal, Neumann will receive a sentence of two to six years in prison.
