Mohonasen Central School District students will be allowed to return to class Friday after zero positive COVID-19 cases have been connected back to the district's reported positive case on September 4.

A number of administrators and teachers were put into quarantine by the Schenectady Department of Health after the positive test. That quarantine ends Thursday, and no additional cases have been reported by the district.

Building principals will provide specifics for each grade level in letters to parents that will cover busing, parent drop-offs, and more.

Administrators say that while the previous positive test derailed the district's original opening plan, they hope the adjustments that have been made in the last few weeks will keep students and faculty safe moving forward.
