On Saturday, a group of children and community members operated a lemonade stand at the Ribbon Cafe in Ballston Spa to raise money for 3-year-old Jagger Zopp.

In April, Zopp was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Roughly 400-500 people are diagnosed with the disease yearly.

The event brought out many people from the Ballston Spa community who pitched in and helped purchase cups of lemonade, cupcakes, and raffles.

“Hopefully, the money raised here it will be able to ease whatever [Jagger’s] family is going through,” Ribbon Cafe owner Kevin Meyers said. “Because no 3-year-old should be battling this at all.”

The money raised will assist the Zopp family with Jagger’s cancer treatments over the next 15+ months.

“With everything going on, is that we could help support and raise enough money to help the family,” family friend and event organizer Adrianna Hine said.

With much support, the lemonade stand raised over $3,000.
