There is growing support for legalizing marijuana for non-medical use by adults in New York, both as a criminal justice issue and a potential new source of revenue.

But as the legislature gets closer to moving on this matter, critics are bringing up public health issues they would like to see addressed, like how to prevent people from driving under the influence and what the potential effect on kids might be. 

Assemblymember Pat Fahy, a Democrat representing the city of Albany, shares some of their concerns.
