The indictment of Assemblyman Joe Errigo on bribery charges was not just the latest case of a state lawmaker being accused of misconduct, but the latest accusation against someone from that district. Errigo's predecessor, Assemblyman Bill Nojay, was under federal investigation when he died in 2016. So voters may be looking for a change. Last month, Errigo lost the Republican primary to Marjorie Byrnes, but he is still on the ballot on other lines.  Barbara Baer is hoping that the district is ready for someone from a new party.
