Endorsements can take on heightened significance in a crowded race, where it's possible a small number of voters will make the difference between winning and losing.

Over the weekend, Fordham Law Professor Zephyr Teachout, who's running in a four way Democratic primary for state attorney general, got a boost when she was backed by the New York Times editorial board, which has a history of moving liberal downstate voters.

Today, Teachout was endorsed by Manhattan state Senator Liz Krueger, one of the chambers most outspoken and liberal members.
