The Independent Democratic Conference is no more after the eight members rejoined the mainline Democratic conference back in April.

But primary challenges against the IDC-ers are moving forward, and some of them have been picking up momentum in the form of high-profile endorsements.

For Alessandra Biaggi, who is running against the conference's former leader Jeff Klein, that includes the New York City Council Speaker and the healthcare union 32-b-j.

The union endorsement was a sign that the non-agression agreement between traditional Democrats and the I-D-C is over.

But will that be enough to unseat a longterm incumbent like Klein?
