Several Republican-held congressional districts in upstate New York have drawn multiple Democratic challengers, who will have to face off in the primary in June. It goes along with national trends since President Trump's election gave the GOP control of the White House and Congress. And it even has Democrats going over seats that normally would be considered safe, like the 23rd congressional district in the Southern Tier, where Tom Reed has been in office since 2010 and won easily the last two elections.
