New York is going to need to make some big investments in renewable energy in order to meet its climate goals. A new study from the Political Economy Research Institute  at the University of Massachusetts put the number at four and a half to five billion dollars on top of what's already planned. The researchers estimate that would create around 150,000 news jobs. And they are also offering an idea for how pay for it: a fee on "climate pollution." The author of the study, Dr. Robert Pollin of U-Mass, and Citizen Action of New York's Jess Wisneski, a member of the New York Renews coalition, join us to discuss.
