WEATHER HEADLINES:

→ Another Round Of Rain Overnight

→ Drying Out After Monday

→ Gradual Warm-Up Throughout The Week

While Sunday evening just saw some lingering spotty showers in spots, mainly in the Niagara Frontier, another round will develop overnight.

More numerous showers are expected overnight through at least daybreak Monday morning. Even if you don’t wake up to the rain Monday morning, the cloud cover will still be in control.

That cloud cover is what will make it tough for temperatures to fall much overnight, as lows just fall into the 50s and 60s.

The best chance of rain for Buffalo and the northtowns will be during Monday morning. Heading into the afternoon, the rain will become more isolated, but will also start slide more so to the south. Areas in the Southern Tier could still be dodging a few raindrops even late in the afternoon/early evening.

The clouds will be a little bit tougher to clear out, but they will eventually do so from north to south. Some northern areas, especially north of the metro, could see some sunshine before the day comes to an end, with a mostly cloudy sky expected across the Southern Tier even as the sun sets.

With some lingering light rain in spots during the afternoon, and the stubborn cloud cover, it will be tough to warm up again. High temperatures on Monday are expected to climb just into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

All of Western New York will clear out from the clouds Monday evening into the night. Less clouds overhead will make for a cooler start Tuesday morning with morning lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

However, Tuesday will start a stretch of quiet weather. Beginning on Tuesday, more sun than clouds is expected for the rest of the work and school week, and temperatures will gradually warm up to that.

Low 70s on Tuesday will turn into the mid 70s for Wednesday. For the second half of the week, high temperatures will hover right around 80°.

As of right now, our next chance of rain past Monday doesn’t look to move in any earlier than Sunday.
