The Bills offense was one of the NFL's worst last season, prompting lots of personnel change. The hope is new faces will bring new results, but there's no pressure to see things completely flip from the start.

"Where we're at after the first game or where we're at now, it's a building process as you get going. Particularly these first few games of the season when, again, there are a lot of unknowns. You can prepare all you want and watch as much tape and practice against different looks, but at the end of the day we're going to have to go out there and execute whatever we need to execute against whatever they're going to do,” said offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.

Of all the unknowns entering week one, the offensive line may be at the top of the list, with injuries forcing a lot of moving parts throughout the preseason. Daboll admits there's urgency to be in sync from the start, while not worrying about the lack of reps together.

"They're pros. A bunch of veterans in there, couple young guys, whether it's year three or a rookie, that do a lot of things together. They're smart. They do a lot of things in the meeting room together. So there's good chemistry there within those seven to 10 guys working together out there,” said Daboll.

"All of that stuff develops when you're in battle, when you're in war. Guys get comfortable with the person to their left and right when they're doing things that are uncomfortable. As long as we just keep everything pushing and just worry about what we can control, the rest is for the stars,” said tackle Dion Dawkins.

Dawkins is a lock at left tackle, with Quinton Spain and Mitch Morse next in line on the line. It's the right side that's still a secret, with head coach Sean McDermott and Daboll both not revealing Cody Ford's week one position, and Daboll not willing to say whether or not what we see Sunday is what we'll get moving forward.

"I don't think I can answer that question for you right now. I think we'll go game-by-game or in this case, I know Sean said day-by-day. And look, it'll all sort itself out. We have some guys ... we have high confidence in a bunch of guys that are in that room. And however it shakes out we'll be alright,” said Daboll.
