SANBORN, N.Y. — Despite the humid weather, there are some well-known flowers in bloom at the Sunflowers of Sanborn.
The summertime staple is back for a fifth season of sunflowers and selfies.
The owners have made some changes this year. The field of flowers has been moved to the back of the site to take advantage of the 30 acres of land, making room for the corn maze in the front.
For just $12 per bucket, you can shoot off the apple cannon, go sifting for sunflowers or race Quacker Jack in the Sunflower Duck Derby.
The owner planted the flowers in memory of her parents and says they would have been touched to see so many people come together to enjoy them.
“We have people from all over the world that come here," said owner Louise Brachmann. "We've had Bangladesh here yesterday, the day before. People from Hawaii. We looked at a world map and we are very humbled by people that come from all over just to come see our flowers.”
Admission to the farm is always free and pet friendly seven days a week. They are open from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
