LOCKPORT, N.Y. β Anyone who is looking for Halloween fun that's more spooky than scary may want to head to the Niagara County Fairgrounds.
The Hollowed Harvest event is going on in Lockport with thousands of jack-o-lanterns on display. There are a total of 7,000 to be exact and each one is part of an elaborate design of 200 different ghouls, goblins and even dragons for families to enjoy during the spooky season.
The spooktacular event is all treats and no tricks as organizers say they wanted all ages to join in on the fun especially after a year in lockdown.
"It feels really good honestly to see everything come together. You know the kids obviously love it," said event manager Byron Gillan. "And that's pretty much what we're doing this for... is families... kids. And seeing everyone come out and have a great night is just really great. Especially after the pandemic and being stuck inside so much for the past year and a half."
You can catch the Hollowed Harvest the entire month of October at the Niagara County Fair Grounds from Thursday through Sunday.
