Two days after one of the season's most demoralizing losses, the Sabres say they've moved on. Tuesday's loss to Ottawa was frustrating for a number of reasons. There's the obvious - a win could have put them within six points of a playoff spot. Instead, the Sabres squandered an early 2-0 lead, unraveling as the lowly Senators scored four times in under four minutes.

"You look at it small-picture, we've talked about that a lot. It's onto our next game," says Curtis Lazar. "Our last game wasn't what we wanted, but it's opportunity. You learn from it. We've gotta make a push."

The Sabres know full well that while their playoff chances are minuscule, they're not non-existent. If there is a margin of error for this team right now, players don't see it.

"There's not much time or margin for mistakes right now," says Rasmus Ristolainen. "We all know that. I take it as a huge challenge. We need to put some wins together and see where we end up."

"The margin for error, I agree, it's very, very small," says Ralph Krueger. "What we need to do is take care of details, and make sure we respect the difficulty of playing at this time of year."

The Sabres schedule gets more difficult over the next few weeks, with five of their next six games coming outside of Buffalo.
