The Sabres are playing some great hockey at the moment. Here are six observations from a memorable week in Buffalo.

1) We're Going Streaking:

- This is what the Sabres tanked for! Jack Eichel is riding a 15-game point streak and during that time he's put up 14 goals with 14 assist for 28 points. He is now on pace for 114 points (22+24 in 33 games). If the captain can keep this up the playoffs aren't just a possibility, but it should be the expectation.

2) Home Ice Advantage:

- The Sabres have one of the best home records in the league at 10-3-3, and only four teams have more wins in their own barn. That win total has been helped of late as Buffalo has won four straight inside Key Bank Center. During that stretch they've also scored 19 goals.

3) Linus On Me:

- Linus Ullmark has been down right filthy in the Sabres’ last four wins posting a .944 save percentage. Extrapolate that over the full season and Ullmark would be tops in the NHL. During that time he's allowed just eight goals. With play like that you could expect Buffalo to keep him as their number one.

4) Enjoy the GLO

- Once again the GLO line of Zemgus Girgensons, Johan Larsson, and Kyle Okposo is producing at a high rate. During the last four games they have accounted for 10 points with six goals and one assist. What is still more important for Buffalo is that this line is smothering the opponents’ top guys while filling the net themselves.

5) Victor-y

- Victor Olofsson continues to make his case for the Calder Memorial Trophy as the winger has tallied 19 points (7+12) over the last 18 games. This raises his total to 13+16 in 33 games this year. Being just below a point per game pace will at least get the former 7th round pick an invite to Las Vegas for the award ceremonies.

6) Buy One, Get One (BOGO)

- Darren Drager reported earlier this week that Zach Bogosian has requested the Sabres trade him, but with his contract ($5,142,857 for this season) it could be hard to move a guy who has trouble staying healthy (he's played in just 10 games this year) and isn't producing (3 assist).
