A mainstay on the Bills defense for the last three years is returning for another season.

The team announced Wednesday that Lorenzo Alexander signed a one-year contract extension.

The starting linebacker finished this season with the fourth-most tackles on the team and was second in sacks with six and a half.

Alexander also added two interceptions and two forced fumbles on the year.

He made the Pro Bowl back in 2016, his first year with the team.

He will be 36 years old when the 2019 season, his 13th in the NFL, begins.
