Shaun Dolac scored two touchdowns on offense and led a stout defense to help West Seneca East defeat West Seneca West 20-13.

The Indians had scored at least 30 points in each of their games this season, and the Trojans held them to 154 total yards and scoreless in the second half.

West held a 13-7 lead at halftime thanks to two touchdown runs from John Speyer, while East scored its lone first-half touchdown off a 73-yard kick return from Devare Mathis.

The Indians maintained a 13-7 lead to begin the fourth quarter, but East forced a turnover on downs and drove down the field for the game-tying touchdown.  Zach Arnone connected with Dolac on a short pass to knot the game at 13-all.

East scored again with about two minutes remaining, as Dolac ran a QB sneak and extended the ball over the goal line. The Trojans defense stopped the next West drive and Dolac helped the East offense run out the clock.

West used a high-powered offense to win back-to-back section titles in Class A, but Dolac and the East defense were stingy all night.

East stopped West on seven of their eight third downs and forced two turnovers.

The Trojans' next opponent will be the section champion from Section V, either Irondequoit or Victor. East won’t have far to travel for that game, since Clarence is the host school.
