BATAVIA, N.Y. — A funeral home director accused of stealing from customers and allowing a body to decompose in a garage is facing 15 new charges.

Michael Tomaszewski, 48, was arraigned Thursday on multiple counts of grand larceny and other charges.

That's after investigators say 11 new victims came forward about incidents at the Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Batavia.

Tomaszewski was already charged with fraud and grand larceny in July for allegedly stealing more than $500,000 customers gave him for funeral services.

Just days later, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office announced a body was allowed to sit, decomposing in the funeral home garage for nearly nine months.

The case is still under investigation.
