Buffalo Police have arrested a man in connection with a weekend police chase.

Dmitri Ross, 29, from Cheektowaga was allegedly involved in the pursuit that took off from West Chippewa Street after a car hit three Buffalo police officers trying to break up a fight. They suffered minor injuries.

The chase ended on the 33 and Cayuga Road near the airport in Cheektowaga early Sunday morning.

Ross is charged with fleeing a police officer, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.

Police are still trying to piece together what happened. It was a busy night for police, as a Tonawanda man was seriously injured in a shooting around the corner on Franklin Street just before the chase started.
