BUFFALO, N.Y. — A city hall employee is the newest candidate to join the race for mayor of Buffalo.
Le’Candice Durham kicked off her mayoral campaign at her Clinton Street headquarters.
As a complaint clerk with the city, Durham says she's heard firsthand from residents looking for a change in Buffalo's leadership.
She's hoping to improve the quality of life for residents in every part of the Queen City and focus much-needed attention on suffering east side neighborhoods.
Incumbent Mayor Byron Brown formally announced his re-election campaign earlier this week.
Brown's fourth term in office will be up at the end of the year.
Community organizer India Walton and 19-year-old politician Scott Wilson are also running in the mayoral election.
