Two local schools have new presidents, the SUNY Board of Trustees announced Tuesday.

SUNY Buffalo State University's new president is Dr. Chance Glenn.

He comes to Buffalo from the University of Houston-Victoria, where he has served as the school's provost and vice president for academic affairs since 2019.

He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Glenn also previously served as a professor in engineering.

His role as president at SUNY Buffalo State will take effect on July 1, 2023.

Dr. Adiam Tsegai has been appointed president of SUNY Erie Community College.

She was appointed officer in charge last November after former president David Balkin left the post.
