Picture this - you're stuck in an airport, potentially overnight, and the guy who comes to the rescue is the head coach of your favorite team.

Usually you want to forget those "flight canceled" stories, but this one turned into a lifelong memory for Jason Guenther.

"He dropped me off at my house at 2:40 a.m.,” Guenther said. “You know, it is not every day you can say that Coach McDermott dropped you off at your front door. That was really cool."

Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott and his daughter were on the same flight from Atlanta to Buffalo that got cancelled. McDermott and Guenther started chatting and the plan was made to fly to Pittsburgh, rent a car and then drive four hours to Buffalo, together.

The plan was McDermott’s Sean McDermott's idea.

"I looked at him when we got in the car and said I didn't think this was going to happen today,” Guenther said. “He said I'm just a normal guy. He kept saying that. I offered to pay. He said absolutely not. You know it was a good experience."

Guenther, a lifelong Bills fan, is a hockey coach at a Buffalo area school.

During the ride, McDermott and him talked about coaching, wrestling, Buffalo food and, get this, they didn't talk about the Bills once. Guenther says his biggest takeaway from this is seeing truly the kind of person, and coach, McDermott really is.

Talk about a dream come true for Bills fan.
