BUFFALO, N.Y. — A major wrestling promotion makes its Buffalo debut Wednesday evening.

All Elite Wrestling, or AEW, will take over KeyBank Center for a live episode of 'AEW Dynamite.' It will also record an episode of its show 'AEW Rampage,' which will premiere Friday night.

The brand debuted in 2019 and quickly became a big name in professional wrestling.

The show features several local wrestlers like The Butcher, former Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams, the Bunny and the Blade, who wrestled locally as Pepper Parks.

"The three of us have performed at smaller venues, when we were independent wrestlers, smaller venues than the Buffalo area, so now it's just, it's really exciting to be performing, to have it all come full circle and have us all perform at the big arena downtown, it is a dream come true," Jesse Guilmette, AEW Wrestler 'The Blade,' said.

Fellow Buffalo native Daniel Garcia will challenge Wheeler Yuta for the Ring of Honor Pure Championship on the show. AEW Dynamite starts at 8 p.m. on TBS. Friday's episode airs on TNT at 10 p.m.
