The Buffalo Public School District is preparing in case students have to switch to remote learning after the holiday break.
In a letter to parents and staff, Superintendent Dr. Kriner Cash said before schools close on Friday, all students should take home laptops and iPads “due to the uncertainty of the COVID epidemic.”
Cash said there’s no firm decision to shift to remote instruction, but that could change based on public health recommendations.
The Center for Innovation, Technology and Training on South Park Avenue will be open next Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day.
There, parents and students can get help with devices or receive a hot spot for Internet access at home.
Classes are currently scheduled to resume in-person on Monday, Jan. 3.
