HAMBURG, N.Y. — It’s a holiday tradition that’s been lighting up Hamburg for years – the Festival of Lights is back at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.

Hard to believe it, but for 17 years they’ve been bringing these beautiful lights to the Queen City and this year they’re pulling out all the stops with 70 light displays. Make your way around the bend to see millions of illuminated spectacles like the Elf Village, minions milling about and a special section for our hometown teams.

Pack all the snacks you want because the $20 ticket gets you in by the carload where you can tune into 1620 Ho Ho Radio to match the magic with the music.

Organizers say they’ve added some extra sparkle this year to bring even more fun to the festivities.

“We have all we have changed out half of the light displays this year,” said Holly Smyczynski, marketing manager of the Hamburg Fairgrounds. “And we have we even partnered with the guys from the great Christmas Light Fight as well. So fun new displays. The routes changed a little bit so that folks are going to enter from South Park going by the historical building and exit at McKinley Parkway.”

You can catch all the Christmas magic the entire month of December, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 5 – 9 p.m.
