The Erie County Department of Health is making changes to quarantine requirements.

People who are not fully vaccinated and have been in close contact with someone who has COVID can be released from quarantine after seven full days under certain conditions, which include reporting no symptoms during daily monitoring and a negative COVID test 48 hours before early release from quarantine.

At home tests will not be accepted.

The health department says the change is in line with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
