DUNKIRK, N.Y. — The boil water advisory that had been in effect in Dunkirk over the past few days has been lifted.

It is no longer necessary to boil water for drinking and cooking. The water conservation order has also been lifted.

The water main break has been repaired and the area is back to normal water pressures.

Two days of testing throughout the city and the CBI-North County Water District have shown that the water is safe to use for all purposes. This includes customers of the CBI-NCCWD in the Village of Brocton and towns of Dunkirk, Portland, Pomfret and Sheridan.
