BUFFALO, N.Y. — Some more affordable family fun is on the way to Canalside.
The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation announced a roller rink will open next month.
Some of the canals will be drained and then turned into a 30,000 square foot roller rink, making it the largest such rink in the state. It opens August 20.
The seasonal attraction will host community and school groups along with themed skate nights.
Admission for adults will be $6, tickets for children 13 and under will only cost $2.
If you don’t have you own skates, you’ll be able to rent some for a charge of $4.
The roller rink will close October 31 as Canalside gets ready for winter fun.
