SPECTRUM NEWS 1 VIDEO: For kids who depend on school to get meals, summer away from school can be a challenge. That's where the free summer meals program comes in.

The program plays a vital role in filling the nutritional gap for kids and it's available now to kids 18 and under.

Kids can come to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo and receive a free, healthy meal. No registration or ID is required.

Madison Elliott spoke with Ruth Conner, child nutrition services for Buffalo Public Schools and Talia Rodriguez, associate director of West Side Promise Neighborhood about this important resource for families.
