With all New Yorkers ages 16 and up eligible for a vaccine beginning next week, finding an appointment might become even more difficult.
The University at Buffalo has now launched a website to try and make finding an open appointment quicker and easier.
VaccineHound.org is the new community resource, and will be a one-stop location for vaccine openings across Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Niagara, and Erie counties.
This is done by automated web checkers and volunteers scouring local government, health care, and pharmacy websites.
The website also compiles sites that allow people interested in a vaccine to sign up for a waitlist.
To be clear, the website will not make an appointment for you. Instead, it will direct you to a website where you may then sign up for an appointment.
