Buffalo Bills players are defending their fans after an ESPN analyst's comments.

Commentator Domonique Foxworth spoke on “The Right Time with Bomani Jones” podcast, saying he is rooting against Josh Allen, because of the quarterback's fans.

Foxworth called the Bills fans’ tweets, retweets, and likes “concerning.”

“I would be 100% lying if I said that when Josh does something dumb, a little part of me doesn’t get happy," Foxworth said. "And it’s not because I don’t want Josh to succeed, it’s because the people telling me that Josh is the second coming, and Josh is better than everybody, have American flags, and dogs, and skull and crossbones in their avis.”

Bills guard Jonathan Feliciano tweeted at Foxworth, “Are you talking about the same fans that just raised over $700K for a hospital during a pandemic?”

Safety Jordan Poyer also tweeted his displeasure with Foxworth’s comments, and called out Foxworth and ESPN for “letting comments slide.”

Foxworth retweeted Poyer, saying the Bills players and fans were taking what he said out of context and he respects Poyer and the Buffalo Bills organization. He ended the tweet by encouraging people to listen to the full podcast, and wishing Josh Allen, his “new favorite quarterback,” the best of luck.
