Things got off to a bumpy start in Western New York’s largest school district Tuesday morning.

Buffalo Public Schools are starting the new school year 100 percent online, and many students and staff could not log on.

Spectrum News received a number of calls from parents saying that the district’s websites, including Schoology, were down, and kids couldn’t start their remote classes.

One mother was frustrated because her son was being marked absent when he was ready to go.

A district spokesperson acknowledged that there were technical issues for a few websites, and that the district worked as quickly as possible to get them back up for students and staff to start the year.

The district also says that student attendance will not be impacted as a result of the technical issues.
