Wedding celebrations being held in New York are now expanding thanks in part to couples hoping to say their I Do's in Western New York.

A lawsuit was filed against Governor Cuomo, Attorney General Letitia James and Erie County officials saying the mandate to limit weddings to 50 people was unjust. A federal judge ruled in the couples favor saying locations can allow up to half capacity. Still, couples continuing to plan their big day are struggling as the pandemic continues to impact a number of important decision.

"Where do you draw the line? And it's hard either way. Who do you decide can come? Who can't? And about people's safety too. Do you put everyone's safety at risk? Do you put ours at risk? What do you decide to do," says Erika Wells.

It's still not clear if this capacity ruling will apply to celebrations beyond weddings in the state.
