Double T Archery hosted a memorial event that hit the target with the second annual Bill Brown 3D Shoot on its course in Amherst Sunday. The event was held in memory of one of their own.

Over 30 3D targets were set in hunting situations along with ten handmade bag targets that recurve shooters could enjoy.

Participants say that the lesser-known sport combines the mind and body, and is a great choice if you’re considering a new hobby.

"Archery is a fun sport. It’s also a sport of the mind, it’s concentration. It’s very healthy. Archery will never be as big as bowling, it’ll never be as big as golf, but we have dedicated people that shoot this sport, especially the families," Double T Archery club member Fred Fanaro said.

If you’re interested in becoming a member at Double T, you can attend one of their meetings, held on the first Monday of each month. They also host youth nights, tournaments and leagues.
