Mayor Byron Brown announced that $4.2 million is coming to Buffalo through the Cares Act for housing disruptions due to COVID-19.
Brown says $1.6 million of that funding has been allocated to help find new housing for nearly 400 people.
$1 million has helped tenants stay in their homes and 700,000 has gone to shelters.
The mayor says an additional $100,000 is set to help HIV positive residents meet their housing needs.
