An organization working with domestic violence victims and their children is getting some help with its community outreach.

Spectrum made a donation of $1,000 to the Family Justice Center of Erie County.

That money will help them create video content that can be used at speaking engagements at schools and businesses throughout the community.

It will also enable the center to help tell their story and inform the public of the warning signs and red flags of relationship abuse online and on social media.

"We know that abusers are all playing out of the same handbook, and this is preventable. Unhealthy, abusive relationships are preventable, but kids especially need to know the warning signs, the big red flags, danger ahead,” said Mary Murphy, Family Justice Center CEO.

Spectrum is the parent company of this news channel.
