Some new additions are on the way at Canalside.
The Buffalo Planning Board revealed plans Monday for two major projects: a new home for a restored carousel and a brand new apartment complex.
The apartment complex will feature one- and two-bedroom apartments spread across two buildings between the Explore & More Children's Museum and HarborCenter.
The restored carousel will be a one-story building off the boardwalk near Clinton's Dish.
The carousel will operate from March until the end of fall every year and is expected to be in place by next summer.
The apartment complex should be finished by the summer of 2021.
The two projects were sent to the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation for approval.
