Some people are worried they won't have a place to live after being given a letter at their apartment at St. John Tower in Buffalo.
It said Capital Realty Group was the new management company.
City Common Council President Darius Pridgen tweeted he was "on fire!" after being alerted to this.
He says his office contacted the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and found out there was some sort of sale on July 30.
We spoke with some tenants, who didn't want to go on camera, but told us they were upset they could be kicked out.
The letter states, "Please be assured there will be no change to your tenancy," but the next line says, "The section eight subsidy will remain unless there are changes to your rent or an overall gross rent change at the property."
It also they'll be renovating over the next 12 months.
