Wrestling fans were ecstatic this weekend after former WWE wrestler Shannon Moore paid a special visit to Western New York.

He made an appearance at Empire State Wrestling's "Fairground Fallout: Return of the Empire" show in Albion on Saturday.

The one-time Hardcore Champion says it doesn't matter if he's surrounded by thousands of fans in the WWE,  the energy he brings is still the same.

"The people here, they've supported me since I was 9-years-old. They've shown me love since then. I feel like I have to give it back," Moore said. "It ain't about the size of the crowd, it's about what the people are about. Wrestling fans, they show you nothing but love."

The wrestling promotion is hosting its "Brawlfest" show on Saturday, May 18 in North Tonawanda.
