A new face is entering the race for Buffalo Common Council.

Nate Boyd is campaigning for the Masten District seat against incumbent Ulysees Wingo.

Voters might recognize Boyd from his Facebook Live videos where he addresses social injustices in Buffalo.

He considers himself a community activist and has been working to help communities in Buffalo for more than a decade.

”Over the last couple of years I've been going across the east side and really across the city addressing different problems,” he said. “Housing issues, slum lord issues, garbage issues, high grass, pot holes just a gambit of things.”

The Masten District covers the area between Main Street, Bailey Avenue and Walden Avenue.
