A Buffalo restaurant owner is headed to prison for tax evasion and employing undocumented immigrants.

Sergio Mucino, 48, was sentenced to a year in prison for unlawfully employing at least 10 undocumented immigrants.

Mucino owns several Buffalo area restaurants, including El Agave, Don Tequila, Agave and La Divina.

He paid employees in cash and put assets under other people's names to avoid paying income tax.

As part of his sentence Mucino has to pay back more than $1 million  in assets.
